Fellowships in Lonergan Studies for the 2020-2021 academic year

The Lonergan Institute is now accepting applications for Masters Degree and Postdoctoral Fellowships in Lonergan studies for the 2020 – 2021 academic year.  The application process is straightforward, and outlined below.

Masters Degree Fellowship application:

(1) a letter of interest.  The letter of interest should include: (I) a statement of desire to be considered for a fellowship award; (II) a brief statement of the source of your interest in Lonergan studies; (III) the name of someone who is willing to recommend you for graduate studies in Lonergan’s work.


  • Eligibility for a Masters Degree Fellowship is contingent upon acceptance into either the Master of Arts in Philosophy graduate program or the Joint Masters Degree in Philosophy and Theology graduate program at Boston College.
  • Masters Degree Fellowships in Lonergan Studies are for course credit only.  There is no financial component to the fellowship.

Due: February 1st

Postdoctoral Fellowship application:

(1) a curriculum vitae;

(2) a letter of recommendation from an established scholar acquainted with your qualifications and work; and

(3) a 500-word research or writing proposal outlining your project and the resources at Boston College on which it will draw.

Due: January 15th
